Postdoctoral Researcher

About the role

The Swiss Paraplegic Research (SPF) group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to lead a project on disability dynamics within the Swiss population. The work combines health economics, epidemiology, and social policy to understand how chronic conditions affect labour market participation and financial vulnerability.

Key responsibilities

• Scientific design and operationalisation of the research project.
• Synthesise and analyse quantitative health and socioeconomic data.
• Prepare scientific publications and present findings at international conferences.
• Assist with administrative and scientific tasks related to the project.
• Supervise students and contribute to teaching activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Economics, Health Economics, Political Science, Public Health, Epidemiology or a closely related field.
• Experience in project planning and execution.
• Strong interest in applied research on economics, social policy or epidemiology.
• Excellent English (C1 or higher); German is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
