PO&T Commercial Asset Development Leader

About the role

The PO&T Commercial Asset Development Leader is a senior member of the Asset Development & Portfolio Management team, responsible for shaping and executing the asset strategy for commercial programs. This high‑visibility position works across R&D, commercial, and PO&T functions to drive asset value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a 5‑year PO&T Asset Strategy and an 18‑month rolling tactical plan aligned with company objectives.
• Lead a cross‑functional PO&T Asset Team to ensure cohesive execution of the strategy and tactical plan.
• Serve as the liaison between PO&T, R&D, and PDC teams, facilitating collaboration on lifecycle management.
• Manage conflicts related to asset strategy in consultation with the PO&T Governance Committee.
• Track asset impacts on financial metrics (COGS, E&O, OPEX) and develop improvement strategies.
• Prepare business cases for major asset initiatives and secure governance approval.

Required profile

• BS in Sciences/Engineering with an advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in matrix management within biopharma.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional program teams across the product lifecycle.
• Experience in global alliance management and understanding of business contracts.
• Strong strategic, political, and relationship development skills.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in CMC, supply chain, or lifecycle management (IND to NDA/BLA).
• Knowledge of global registration processes.
• Matrix leadership and alliance management experience.
