Principal Architect

About the role

OWT is seeking a passionate Principal Architect to lead the design and delivery of cloud‑native, AI‑enhanced solutions for leading Swiss organisations. Based in either Lausanne or Geneva, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud‑native, containerized solutions with integrated AI capabilities.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery from pre‑sales through production, ensuring timelines and client satisfaction.
• Define strategic architectural decisions, produce documentation such as ADRs and guidelines, and act as the technical liaison between stakeholders.
• Participate in hands‑on development, including code reviews, proof‑of‑concepts, AI pipeline design, and critical component implementation.
• Mentor team members, monitor emerging AI technologies, and drive best‑practice improvements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software architecture experience on large‑scale projects.
• Strong expertise in modern architectural patterns (microservices, event‑driven, hexagonal, clean architecture) and design principles (SOLID, DDD).
• Demonstrated technical leadership, stakeholder management, and excellent communication in both French and English (C1 level).
• Hands‑on experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and application security.
