Private Equity Associate – Secondaries

About the role

This position sits at the intersection of investment and investor relations for a leading global alternatives investor that is launching a multi‑billion secondaries fundraise. You will act as the primary liaison between the investment teams and the firm’s institutional client base, supporting both capital‑raising and relationship‑building activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support capital‑raising activity across secondaries sub‑strategies and contribute to go‑to‑market execution.
• Prepare institutional‑grade investor presentations, due‑diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and bespoke client materials.
• Conduct market research and in‑depth portfolio analysis to support the fundraise.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests from investors, prospective clients and relationship managers.
• Engage with, and present to, institutional investors and other external parties.
• Liaise closely with investment, investment‑controlling, legal and compliance teams to ensure consistent and accurate communication.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in investor relations, investment management, or private equity.
• Strong grounding in private markets, with direct secondaries and/or private equity exposure preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to sophisticated institutional investors.
• Analytically capable, highly organised and able to manage multiple workstreams under demanding fundraising timelines.
• Fluency in English and German.
