RAMS Engineer – Safety-Critical Systems

About the role

AYES is seeking a RAMS Engineer to join its international engineering consultancy, focusing on safety‑critical systems across sectors such as railway, automotive and aerospace. The role involves applying reliability, availability, maintainability and safety expertise throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and support RAMS activities across the system development lifecycle.
• Conduct safety and reliability analyses, including Hazard Analysis, FMEA/FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis.
• Define, manage and verify safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain RAMS and safety documentation.
• Collaborate with system engineering, software, hardware and verification & validation teams.
• Support risk assessment activities and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in RAMS, functional safety or system safety.
• Professional background in a safety‑critical industry (railway, automotive or aerospace).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English and ability to work in international, multidisciplinary teams.
