Process Engineer – BiMOS Backend

About the role

As a Process Engineer for the BiMOS Backend, you will drive improvements in our automated semiconductor production lines, focusing on bonding, welding and metal‑joining technologies. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to enhance process capability, quality and throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Improve bonding and welding processes using data analysis and designed experiments.
• Analyze production data to optimise performance, detect trends and prevent failures.
• Develop and implement new automated production systems to increase capacity and quality.
• Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis to maintain high throughput.
• Collaborate on new product development by shaping production processes for volume manufacturing.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or a related field.
• Several years of experience in an automated production environment, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a quality‑focused, hands‑on approach.
• Familiarity with DoE, data analysis, Six Sigma and production statistics is a plus.
• Fluent in German and English.
