Photolithography Process Engineer (80‑100% F/M/D)

About the role

Join a high‑performing photolithography team as a Senior Photolithography Process Engineer. You will develop and optimise lithography processes for semiconductor manufacturing, work with advanced steppers and immersion tools, and collaborate across multiple process groups to ensure high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure photolithography processes meet production programme and yield targets, addressing yield and rework issues.
• Collaborate with equipment and material vendors to develop new solutions and improve existing processes.
• Design and implement new techniques, coordinate process‑improvement projects and integrate new machinery into the production line.
• Analyse process data, monitor SPC, identify trends and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Work closely with integration, wet etch, diffusion, metals, dry etch and implant teams to guarantee seamless production flow.
• Support metrology tools for critical dimension (CD) and overlay measurements.
• Participate in on‑call duties during weekends and public holidays as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline with 5+ years industry experience, or equivalent higher‑degree with fewer years.
• Extensive experience in wafer photolithography operations, especially coating and exposure on steppers, within a semiconductor fab environment.
• Proven ability to work in a cleanroom setting and communicate in English (German is a plus).

• Use of SPC and MES systems for data collection and analysis.
• Data extraction, manipulation and statistical analysis.
• Strong understanding of optics and immersion lithography principles.
• Programming and data‑science knowledge (e.g., Python, R).
