Procurement Lead – IT Sourcing

About the role

The Procurement Lead – IT Sourcing will head a high‑performing team of Strategic Sourcers, driving end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives across software, hardware, cloud and related services. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and ensure delivery of value‑focused procurement solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Strategic Sourcers, conducting performance reviews and succession planning.
• Manage multiple high‑value sourcing projects in software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure, managed services, telecommunications and cybersecurity.
• Act as senior advisor to CIOs, CTOs, CFOs and other executives, building long‑term client relationships and supporting complex negotiations.
• Ensure sourcing projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget while driving continuous improvement and adoption of market benchmarks.
• Maintain deep knowledge of IT market trends, supplier landscapes and emerging technologies such as AI and automation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement or vendor management.
• 3–5+ years of people‑leadership experience with a proven track record of managing high‑performing teams.
• Extensive experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives and large‑scale negotiations in multinational environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of software licensing, cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), IT infrastructure, hardware, managed services, network and telecommunications, cybersecurity solutions.
• Experience with e‑sourcing and procurement technologies, AI‑enabled sourcing tools and digital procurement platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, analytics and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
• Strong commercial, financial and contractual understanding, including benchmarking and cost modelling.
