About the role

The University of Fribourg seeks a senior academic leader to hold the Chair of Women’s Health and Exposome. The successful candidate will establish a world‑class research programme on how environmental stressors influence the prevention, pathogenesis, and clinical outcomes of diseases that predominantly affect women.

Key responsibilities

Develop and lead an internationally competitive research agenda on the exposome and women’s health, in collaboration with Hôpital Fribourgeois, University Hospital Bern, University Hospital Lausanne, and EPFL.
Teach human medicine courses at the university level in French and/or German, contributing to the Faculty of Sciences.

Required profile

Outstanding record of independent experimental, epidemiological or clinical biomedical research, preferably in female‑predominant disease areas.
Significant teaching experience in human medicine at the university level; ability to teach in French and/or German (B1 oral level required, with two‑year acquisition if needed).
