About the role
The University of Fribourg seeks a senior academic leader to hold the Chair of Women’s Health and Exposome. The successful candidate will establish a world‑class research programme on how environmental stressors influence the prevention, pathogenesis, and clinical outcomes of diseases that predominantly affect women.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead an internationally competitive research agenda on the exposome and women’s health, in collaboration with Hôpital Fribourgeois, University Hospital Bern, University Hospital Lausanne, and EPFL.
- Teach human medicine courses at the university level in French and/or German, contributing to the Faculty of Sciences.
Required profile
- Outstanding record of independent experimental, epidemiological or clinical biomedical research, preferably in female‑predominant disease areas.
- Significant teaching experience in human medicine at the university level; ability to teach in French and/or German (B1 oral level required, with two‑year acquisition if needed).
