Project Manager – HIV Programmes & Advocacy

About the role

The Global HIV Prevention Alliance (GHPA) is seeking a Project Manager to lead the transition and implementation phases of its HIV programmes and advocacy work. The role involves coordinating grant activities, managing budgets, and ensuring effective collaboration with sub‑awardees, consultants, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the transition phase workplan, timeline, and asset migration.
• Draft agreements, process payments, and monitor deliverables for sub‑awardees and consultants.
• Organise virtual, hybrid and in‑person meetings, handling logistics and documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date budgets, create estimates, and ensure timely expenditures.
• On‑board GHPA Secretariat staff on financial and administrative procedures.
• During implementation, execute contracts, track grant outputs, and support donor reporting.
• Coordinate procurement of goods and services for the Secretariat.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the Director, HIV Programmes and Advocacy.

Required profile

• Degree in public health, international development, business, project management or related field; graduate degree is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience managing complex projects in global health or development.
• Experience working with external partners, donors, and service providers.
• Proven ability to organise virtual, hybrid and in‑person events.
• Familiarity with the HIV prevention landscape and its key stakeholders.
