Project Manager Site Service Generator Circuit Breaker

About the role

Hitachi Energy's High Voltage Products division develops and manufactures Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) and Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems in Zurich-Oerlikon, and its global Service organization provides commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, retrofits and upgrades. As Project Manager Site Service GCB, you coordinate and plan service activities and ensure the technical and timely execution of commissioning and maintenance work, contributing to process improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the execution of on-site commissioning and maintenance activities worldwide
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external customers throughout the project
• Work with field service personnel to plan installations and maintenance, coordinate resources and track progress, costs and reporting
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards, identify and mitigate risks and support corrective actions
• Maintain project documentation (technical records, test reports, customer documentation) and support billing of completed services

Required profile

• Technical apprenticeship, vocational training, HF or comparable qualification; a degree is beneficial but not required
• Initial professional experience in project coordination, service, installation, commissioning, engineering or a related technical environment
• Interest in project management; project management training or certification is an advantage
• Experience with switchgear, power systems, field service or industrial equipment is beneficial but not required
• Business fluent in English and good German skills

Required skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Good knowledge of MS Office; SAP experience is an advantage
• Interest in digital tools and using data to support daily business
