Regional Account Manager – Switzerland

About the role

Proofpoint is seeking a tenacious, creative Regional Account Manager to grow its business in the German‑speaking Swiss region. You will convert prospects into sales, work with channel partners, and manage a portfolio of focus accounts ranging from SMEs to enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and grow business within a defined territory, collaborating with channel partners and executing joint marketing activities.
• Establish executive‑level relationships (CISO, CIO, etc.) with organisations of 750‑2,500 users through face‑to‑face and online meetings.
• Hunt new accounts and expand existing ones by promoting the full Proofpoint security platform.
• Partner with Sales Engineers to deliver product demos and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Leverage internal resources and partner ecosystem to create account strategies, forecasts, and pipeline.

Required profile

• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, preferably selling SaaS solutions to SME and mid‑enterprise markets.
• Strong executive‑level communication skills in German and English.
• Experience closing complex deals of $100k+ and accurately forecasting pipeline.
• Ability to coordinate multiple resources and follow formal sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger).

Required skills

• Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) proficiency.
