Regional Business Development Lead – Clinical Supplies

About the role

Clinigen is seeking a commercially driven Regional Business Development Lead to grow its UK and European Clinical Supplies business. This high‑impact player‑coach position combines personal sales responsibility with leadership of an existing team of five Business Development professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new business development across the UK and Europe, managing your own pipeline and revenue targets.
• Build and expand strategic customer relationships, including re‑engaging historical accounts.
• Develop account plans and identify growth opportunities within key markets.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five Business Development professionals.
• Assess team capability, territory coverage and opportunities to improve commercial performance.
• Support the team on strategic customer opportunities and complex sales engagements.
• Challenge existing ways of working and introduce new ideas to enhance the BD function.
• Represent Clinigen at customer meetings, conferences and industry events.

Required profile

• 8+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in pharma, biotech or related industries.
• 6+ years selling Clinical Supply or Clinical Service solutions.
• Proven track record of achieving commercial targets and driving revenue growth.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing Business Development teams.
• Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand and solve complex customer needs.
