Relationship Manager – Soft Commodities

About the role

We are seeking a motivated mid‑level Relationship Manager to join our Geneva team and support the continued development of our Commodity Trade Finance activities, with a primary focus on soft commodities traders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of Commodity Trade Finance clients active in the soft commodities sector.
• Identify, originate and execute new business opportunities together with the supervisor.
• Analyse and structure trade finance facilities, ensuring alignment with the bank's risk appetite and profitability targets.
• Prepare and present credit applications, annual reviews and amendment requests to approval authorities.
• Monitor portfolio quality, profitability and risk profile as part of the first line of defence.
• Analyse financial statements, management accounts and borrowing base reports.
• Coordinate transaction execution and client onboarding with Credit Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Financial Institutions.
• Promote cross‑selling opportunities across the bank’s product offering.

Required profile

• University or Master’s degree in Economics or equivalent qualification.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Commodity Trade Finance, including 2–3 years in a client‑facing Relationship Manager or Associate role.
• Fluency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong technical knowledge of Commodity Trade Finance and good understanding of credit risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to different cultures.
