Sales and Operations Planning Specialist

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy as a Sales and Operations Planning Specialist, leading the local S&OP process and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. You will work closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to drive performance through data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the local S&OP process, facilitating monthly reviews and executive meetings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and Product Management to resolve conflicts and build consensus.
• Develop demand‑planning and forecasting methodologies for critical product portfolios using market intelligence and analytics.
• Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory performance and production adherence, driving business improvements.
• Represent the planning organization in cross‑functional and continuous‑improvement programs, leveraging digital solutions and best practices.
• Present executive‑level analyses and recommendations while mentoring team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Significant experience in supply chain, operations, planning or S&OP within an international manufacturing environment.
• Advanced SAP knowledge, preferably with intercompany purchasing and planning experience.
• Strong analytical abilities, independent work style and proven problem‑solving skills in a dynamic setting.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills, with experience engaging senior management.
• Business‑fluent English; German is beneficial.
