School Nurse – On Call

About the role

The School Nurse – On Call provides safe, responsive, and high‑quality nursing care to students at Collège du Léman. Working within a team of three nurses, the role supports the physical wellbeing of a diverse international student body while maintaining professional medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care to students on duty, following professional standards and school policies.
• Assess health needs independently, provide appropriate treatment, and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in line with regulatory and school requirements.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection principles at all times.
• Act as a liaison between the Medical Centre and the wider school community, communicating with students, parents, boarding staff, and academic teams.
• Support health‑education, prevention, and wellbeing initiatives as needed.
• Adapt to on‑call duties and seasonal peak periods, including summer camps and activities.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse with ongoing professional development and a genuine interest in primary nursing and adolescent healthcare.
• Strong clinical judgement, calm under pressure, and resilience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
