Senior AI-Augmented Engineer

About the role

As a Senior AI-Augmented Engineer at Itecor, you will own the full lifecycle of backend‑focused solutions, from problem definition through production deployment. You will work in a people‑centric boutique consultancy that values creativity, authenticity, and high‑quality delivery for prestigious clients.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of solution design, implementation, and production monitoring.
• Design and develop backend services while contributing across the full technology stack when needed.
• Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and IaC practices.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines, automation, and event‑driven architectures (RabbitMQ, CDC).
• Implement unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing to ensure reliability, performance, security, and observability.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., OpenAI Codex, Claude) while maintaining engineering quality.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, making pragmatic trade‑offs.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and help raise the team’s engineering standards.

Required profile

• Extensive production‑oriented engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in a compiled language, preferably Go (Java, Scala, C++ also acceptable).
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Ruby.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like TypeScript, Angular or React.
• Experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, New Relic) and AI‑assisted coding assistants.
• Excellent debugging, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
