- Support design flows covering all aspects of IC design, with a strong focus on analog/mixed-signal flows, using tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics and open-source tools.
- Help students and researchers with IC design questions, chip finishing and submission of ICs to fabrication through MPW and foundry contacts.
- Develop, adapt and maintain common building blocks for mixed-signal IC chips and larger mixed-signal ICs.
- Take part in design reviews and deliver training modules and hands-on laboratory sessions.
- Contribute to the group's outreach and visibility by supporting its web presence and preparing periodic activity reports.
Required profile
- At least 5 years of IC design experience in industry or a qualified research institution, including hands-on tape-out procedures.
- A track record of multiple successful analog/mixed-signal tape-outs across a range of technology nodes, including 22nm and FinFET, and experience leading chip tape-out projects.
- PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
- Good written and spoken English; experience organizing technical training and undergraduate labs highly desirable.
Required skills
- Proficiency with UNIX, scripting languages and IC design tools from major EDA vendors.
- Analog/mixed-signal IC design expertise.
