Senior Business Tax Consultant – Financial Services

About the role

As a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Tax (FSI) team, you will advise Swiss and international banks, insurance firms, trust companies and asset managers on complex tax regulatory regimes. You will work on cross‑divisional projects from day one, deepening your expertise in areas such as FATCA, CRS, CARF, EU directives (DAC6, DAC8, FASTER), Swiss Stamp Duty, European FTTs and withholding tax rules.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regulatory advisory and compliance support for financial‑services clients.
• Conduct research, prepare client presentations and draft proposals.
• Participate in client meetings, ad‑hoc regulatory reviews, audits and short‑term assignments.
• Collaborate with senior team members and international colleagues across divisions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax reporting requirements and emerging regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in business administration, economics, law or a related field, preferably with tax knowledge.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a Big Four firm or in‑house at a bank.
• Hands‑on experience with QI, FATCA and CRS reviews and advisory projects.
• Familiarity with Swiss corporate tax and AML/KYC is a plus.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, service‑minded attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of FATCA, CRS, QI reporting requirements.
• Understanding of EU directives (DAC6, DAC8, FASTER) and Swiss/European transaction taxes.
• Experience with withholding tax regimes and qualified intermediary rules.
