Senior Clinical Pharmacologist

About the role

Idorsia is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Senior Clinical Pharmacologist to lead clinical pharmacology strategy across a high volume of First‑in‑Human and early clinical programs. The role is hands‑on, high‑impact, and situated within Global Clinical Development, offering visibility and growth potential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of clinical pharmacology strategies and studies across multiple programs.
• Develop innovative approaches to accelerate and de‑risk drug development, including dose selection and exposure‑response characterization.
• Integrate non‑clinical, translational, biomarker and clinical data to inform development decisions.
• Design studies with appropriate PK and PD endpoints and apply model‑informed drug development (MIDD) methods.
• Author protocol sections, regulatory documents (IND/CTA, briefing documents) and represent clinical pharmacology in agency interactions.
• Manage external partners such as CROs and modeling vendors.

Required profile

• PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in biotech/pharma.
• Proven track record in early clinical development (FIH to proof‑of‑concept), study design and dose justification.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs in a dynamic environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong scientific leadership and hands‑on execution.
