Senior Footwear Product Designer

About the role

As a Senior Footwear Product Designer you will create advanced, performance‑driven footwear solutions that reflect SCOTT’s design philosophy. You will push concepts beyond current industry standards, working closely with athletes and end‑users to deliver innovative running, bike, and outdoor shoe collections.

Key responsibilities

• Lead visual concept development for footwear collections, producing 2D sketches and 3D digital assets.
• Generate design renderings that explore performance boundaries and new aesthetics.
• Coordinate resources to define a cohesive design direction for target user groups.
• Gather insights through product testing, research, and direct interaction with athletes.
• Align footwear designs with related apparel and sock lines.
• Partner with product managers, developers, and engineers to bring designs to production.
• Create collection overviews, dynamic colourways, and technology platforms.
• Stay abreast of emerging manufacturing techniques and integrate them into future products.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of hands‑on product or industrial design experience, preferably in sports footwear.
• Strong visual communication skills, including sketching, ideation, colour theory, and layout.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced environments, multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Passion for sports such as biking, running, skiing or snowboarding.
