Senior Front-End React Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Front‑End React Developer to shape the frontend architecture of mission‑critical financial platforms for a leading private bank in Zurich. You will work in a regulated, fast‑moving environment, delivering high‑quality, scalable user interfaces that meet strict security and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security and long‑term maintainability.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to turn requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Develop production‑grade applications using React and TypeScript.
• Address advanced challenges such as state management, performance optimisation and integration with distributed backend systems.
• Refactor and modernise existing codebases where needed.
• Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environments.
• Contribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced team.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, focusing on React at enterprise scale.
• Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, including Node.js and build tools.
• Experience with design systems and large shared component libraries.
• Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), micro‑services, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and API security (OAuth2).
• Fluent English and strong analytical and communication skills.
