Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of the user‑facing experience of our cloud‑based SaaS platform for industrial customers. You will build sophisticated, interaction‑rich interfaces and take ownership of frontend architecture, state management, testing and production quality. The role works closely with the Lead Engineer, CTO, backend and AI engineers, as well as product and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain sophisticated frontend features for our SaaS platform.
• Create intuitive interfaces for workflow‑driven, data‑rich applications.
• Own frontend architecture, component design, state management and interaction patterns.
• Integrate backend and AI services, handling asynchronous processes, loading states and edge cases.
• Establish automated frontend testing, including end‑to‑end coverage for critical user journeys.
• Improve performance, accessibility, usability and production reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong ownership of frontend development.
• Hands‑on experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript in modern web applications.
• Experience building complex, workflow‑oriented interfaces such as graph‑based editors.
• Background in fast‑moving startup or scale‑up environments with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
