Senior Frontend Engineer (On‑site, Zurich)

About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will shape user experiences for millions of users, owning the product from idea to production. You will be an active voice in product and design discussions, influencing both what we build and why.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver complex product features, experiments, or systems from discovery through rollout and analysis.
• Build fast, reliable, and user‑friendly interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
• Create experiments and prototypes to quickly validate assumptions and guide product decisions.
• Analyze problems deeply, identify patterns, and propose scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to align on goals and deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Influence product direction through technical insight and user empathy.
• Contribute to engineering standards, rituals, and processes within the Frontend Guild.
• Support teammates, share knowledge, and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Strong experience building modern web applications at scale.
• Deep knowledge of React and TypeScript with a pragmatic architecture approach.
• Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations and move work forward confidently.
• Comfortable making data‑driven decisions and questioning problem relevance.
• Passionate about product and solving real user problems.
• Excellent communicator in English, thriving in cross‑functional collaboration.
• Humble, open, and eager to help others succeed.
• Based in Zurich or willing to relocate; Swiss or EU passport holder for on‑site work (2‑3 days a week).
