Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join a leading global business in Switzerland. The role focuses on delivering risk‑based audits across commodity trading activities and providing insight into front, middle, and back‑office processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end internal audit assignments with a strong emphasis on commodity trading.
• Interview commercial, risk management, and operational stakeholders to understand processes and controls.
• Document controls, procedures, and audit findings across all trading functions.
• Identify risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for governance and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare concise audit reports and present recommendations to senior management.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across multiple business functions and locations.
• Support continuous development of the internal audit function.

Required profile

• 7–8 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, or Front Office Operations, preferably within commodity trading.
• Strong understanding of front, middle, and back‑office trading processes.
• Proven ability to lead stakeholder interviews and document audit findings.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report‑writing skills.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and challenging existing processes.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
