Senior IT Security Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑level security architectures for a reputable financial services organisation. You will work in a hybrid setting in Lugano, shaping secure digital services and advising senior stakeholders on security standards and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain security reference architectures for on‑premise and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Review designs and implementations to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop threat models, conduct security risk assessments and embed secure design principles throughout project lifecycles.
• Advise cross‑functional teams on security controls, IAM solutions, encryption technologies and network security.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insights on emerging threats and governance improvements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in security architecture within financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP and CIS Controls.
• Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Right to work in Switzerland.
