Senior IT Security Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Security Architect to design, implement and govern enterprise‑level security architectures for a leading financial services organisation. You will work in a hybrid setting from Lugano, partnering with cloud, development and risk teams to protect critical platforms and customer data.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain security reference architectures for on‑premise and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Review designs, conduct threat modelling and security risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST and other regulatory standards.
• Advise senior stakeholders on emerging threats, vulnerability mitigations and security governance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in security architecture within financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP and CIS Controls.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
