Senior Java Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Zühlke, a Swiss-founded global transformation partner, is hiring a Senior Java Fullstack Engineer. As part of a team, you will design and implement customer projects in web and enterprise environments using modern, agile methods. Applications must be submitted in English only.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to understand their business and turn requirements into high-quality software, visiting customers about 2-3 times per week
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code with developers, using pair and mob programming
• Coach and support team members so they can grow as a team
• Support the full software lifecycle with a DevOps mindset, from ideation to production
• Automate quality checks early, for example with test-driven development and specification by example
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and share your knowledge

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• More than four years of proven experience as a Java developer, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices
• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React or similar on the frontend
• Experience with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with agile methodologies and agile development teams
• Fluent German and English (at least C1 level)
