Senior Linux Security Engineer – Tetragon

About the role

Cisco is looking for a Senior Linux Security Engineer to join the Tetragon team. You will help customers protect their Kubernetes‑aware environments by creating and maintaining runtime security policies that leverage eBPF for low‑overhead, in‑kernel enforcement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Tetragon runtime security policies based on the latest threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosures.
• Design frameworks that enable customers to consume policies easily and understand their security posture.
• Monitor CVE releases and emerging threats to continuously improve policy coverage.
• Collaborate with software engineers at Isovalent and Cisco to enhance Tetragon’s detection capabilities.
• Work with solution architects and customers to deploy policies in production environments.
• Publish technical content and present talks on your work.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in threat or vulnerability research.
• 3+ years developing security detections at scale across diverse environments.
• 3+ years working on Linux system security (capabilities, LSMs, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Linux security mechanisms (capabilities, LSMs, cgroups, namespaces).
• Cloud‑native ecosystem: containers, Kubernetes.
• Threat intelligence analysis and CVE monitoring.
