Senior Luxury Travel Designer - Bespoke Switzerland & the Alps

About the role

Epic Europe is an independent, founder-led luxury travel company specialising in tailor-made journeys across Switzerland and the surrounding Alpine regions. It is looking for an experienced Senior Luxury Travel Designer to join its small, collaborative team. This is a hands-on travel design and sales position taking ownership of enquiries from brief through itinerary design, proposal, costing, sales and confirmation, working closely with the founders and the planning and operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Design sophisticated, tailor-made journeys across Switzerland, France, Italy and Austria.
• Manage enquiries from luxury travel advisors and private clients, understanding their interests, expectations and budgets.
• Create compelling itineraries with intelligent routing, thoughtful pacing, exceptional accommodation and distinctive experiences.
• Prepare accurate costings, commercially sound proposals and quotations, and manage enquiries through to confirmation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, advisors, hotels, guides and local suppliers.
• Collaborate with the bookings and operations team to ensure seamless delivery.
• Share product knowledge, supplier discoveries and creative ideas while supporting colleagues.

Required profile

• Direct, professional experience designing and selling bespoke luxury leisure travel; at least three years of relevant experience, including hands-on itinerary design and sales.
• Proven ability to design, cost and sell complex, multi-day private journeys.
• Experience with discerning international clients, ideally including the North American luxury travel market.
• Strong knowledge of Switzerland and the Alps, or comparable experience in European luxury destination travel.
• Excellent logistical judgment, commercial awareness, attention to detail and written and spoken English.
• Independence, creativity and a collaborative approach suited to a small, entrepreneurial team.
• German, French or Italian and established Swiss/Alpine supplier relationships are an advantage.

Working conditions

• Full-time, primarily office-based in Val Ferret, Valais, with some remote flexibility; candidates should live nearby or be ready to relocate and be eligible to work in Switzerland.
• Start date by mutual agreement; compensation commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
