Senior Manager – Product Quality

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to own and evolve Sonova’s global Critical‑to‑Quality (CtQ) framework for hardware and software hearing solutions. The role spans product development, manufacturing, supplier quality and service, ensuring reliability is built into every stage of the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously evolve the global CtQ process and ensure its effectiveness across the entire product lifecycle.
• Establish and drive CtQ governance, standards and best practices across development, manufacturing, suppliers and service.
• Partner with product development teams to embed Critical‑to‑Quality characteristics and reliability engineering from early design stages.
• Lead cross‑functional CtQ reviews, aligning R&D, manufacturing, supplier quality and service on critical reliability requirements.
• Ensure end‑to‑end traceability of CtQ attributes from requirements through design, verification, validation, production and field performance.
• Integrate CtQ requirements into Design‑, Process‑ and Service‑FMEA, safety risk management and other key quality processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Quality, Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in product development, reliability engineering, design quality or operational excellence within a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical devices).
• Hands‑on experience applying APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Lean initiatives to improve product quality.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, especially ISO 9001; experience with ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 is a plus.
• Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage.
