Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead waste handling projects, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule targets are met. The role involves close coordination with the Equipment & Packages Engineering Manager and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute waste handling lots with responsibility for cost, quality and schedule.
• Coordinate and deliver Concept and Basic Engineering, managing internal and external interfaces.
• Prepare technical specifications for procurement packages such as waste reception, storage, feeding systems, and various crane equipment.
• Lead supplier selection, evaluate offers, place purchase orders and expedite suppliers during detailed engineering, including documentation control, inspections and FATs.
• Support installation, commissioning, technical troubleshooting and knowledge transfer during project execution and operation.

Required profile

• Strong process and product knowledge in waste handling systems.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (FH/ETH or technical university).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial plant engineering, preferably with crane systems.
• Background in Energy from Waste, power generation or heavy industry is advantageous.
• Fluent English; German is a plus and willingness to travel internationally.
