Senior Software Engineer – Custody Value Stream

About the role

Join the Custody Value Stream at a regulated digital asset bank, building secure, scalable solutions for digital asset custody. You will work in an agile, product‑led environment alongside product managers, engineers, and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and improvements by writing and reviewing high‑quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Enhance application quality and security, identify technical debt and plan its repayment.
• Respond promptly to production incidents, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to restore service continuity.
• Work with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline releases.
• Partner with SRE engineers and solution architects to boost availability, resilience, and observability.
• Coach and mentor junior software engineers.

Required profile

• Passionate about building scalable backend services using the latest industry standards.
• Collaborative, growth‑mindset with a strong focus on quality and security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Comfortable owning the full development lifecycle, from design to production operations.
• Proactive and motivated by new opportunities and challenges.

Required skills

• Expertise in Java and/or Typescript.
• Knowledge of security and applied cryptography.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus.
• Proficiency with RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Working experience with Kafka.
• Experience in distributed systems and infrastructure.
• Designing robust REST APIs using an API‑first approach.
• Understanding of microservices and event‑driven architecture.
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Experience with Kubernetes (beneficial).
• Experience with AWS (beneficial).
