Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join Nexthink’s AI team. You will design, build and scale backend services that power AI‑driven products used by millions of employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain distributed backend systems that serve millions of users.
• Architect low‑latency, real‑time APIs for AI‑driven conversational experiences.
• Implement cloud‑native services on AWS using Docker containers and Kubernetes/ECS orchestration.
• Drive end‑to‑end feature delivery from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers, infrastructure engineers and frontend teams to ensure reliability, performance and scalability.
• Participate in technical discussions, share knowledge and help evolve best practices.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Proven track record designing and scaling high‑throughput, real‑time services for large user bases.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (version 17 or higher), Python or Node.JS.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑native architectures on AWS.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Ability to build resilient, fault‑tolerant APIs and services.
