Senior Staff Systems Engineer - Imaging and Positioning

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is looking for an experienced Senior Staff Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership across the product development lifecycle for Imaging and Positioning. The role defines system architecture, drives system requirements, leads cross-functional collaboration and ensures successful system integration and verification. It works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory and Service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management on new system features and system analyses, and define and own system architecture, subsystem decomposition and interface definitions.
• Lead system requirements definition, design inputs and end-to-end workflow development, and act as the primary owner of system-level issues.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and methodologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Support system-level risk management, including FMEA, hazard analysis and traceability, and define risk control measures and process controls.
• Lead system integration planning and execution, define verification strategies and test alignment, and manage interfaces across subsystems, platforms and products.
• Support Validation and Verification teams with guidance on issue resolution and test creation and review.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in systems engineering within a regulated product development environment.
• Demonstrated experience defining complex system architectures and leading cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and technical leadership skills.

Required skills

• System requirements management, integration, verification and validation.
• Risk management methods such as FMEA and hazard analysis.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
