Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer to join our Smart Workplace team. You will take technical ownership of our Microsoft on‑premises platform and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops environment, driving architecture, automation and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve sophisticated Microsoft on‑premises solutions.
• Operate, enhance and manage the lifecycle of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and Citrix ADC.
• Lead technical projects from migration and modernization to production rollout.
• Perform 2nd and 3rd level root‑cause analysis and ensure sustainable resolutions.
• Develop automation and standardisation using PowerShell and configuration‑management tools.
• Define, document and maintain standards, solutions and operational processes.
• Participate in on‑call duties and collaborate closely with Network, Security and Smart Workplace teams.

Required profile

• Completed IT apprenticeship (EFZ) or equivalent; further education (HF/FH) is a plus.
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in Microsoft on‑premises environments.
• Strong service orientation, independence and personal responsibility.
• Willingness to undergo a security and criminal record check.
• Excellent German language skills; English is an advantage.
