Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Fuse Energy is building a fully integrated energy company and is looking for a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to design and implement the core digital infrastructure that powers its next‑generation energy platform. This remote position works closely with product teams to deliver high‑availability backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Construct a real‑time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand.
• Develop messaging interfaces with third‑party providers.
• Build high‑volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption data.
• Own the backend of a world‑class energy application and adapt to evolving business needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrable excellence as a software engineer with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to define and ship complex, highly available production systems.
• Clear communication skills and ownership of projects.

Required skills

• AWS CDK (infrastructure as code).
• Experience with cloud platforms and building scalable backend services.
