Service Team Leader (Full Time)

About the role

Meijer is looking for a full‑time Service Team Leader to oversee daily operations across multiple store departments. You will mentor and coach team members, drive sales, and ensure a fast, friendly customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day‑to‑day store operations.
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff, promoting succession planning and career growth.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and compliance with company standards.
• Manage staffing, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Own P&L for the department, achieve sales targets, and control shrink.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team interactions.
• Ensure a safe work environment and consistent attendance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years retail experience and at least 1 year management experience.
• Ability to communicate clear directions and resolve conflicts.
• Strong multitasking and decision‑making skills based on financial data.
• Experience with rotational assignments (meat, bakery, produce, deli) is a plus.
