Software Engineer (AI) – 80% to 100%

About the role

Join a world‑leading CAE software company to develop AI solutions that combine finite‑element simulation, computer vision and geometry modeling. You will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, 3D geometry and engineering simulation, contributing to innovative products for the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities

• Design and extend AI‑based technologies that integrate synthetic data generation, numerical simulation and machine learning.
• Develop methods for processing, representing and analysing complex 3D mesh data.
• Apply simulation‑driven data and surrogate‑modeling techniques to learn from large‑scale synthetic datasets.
• Build scalable AI pipelines covering geometry generation, simulation, data preparation, model training and validation.
• Collaborate with experts in sheet‑metal forming, simulation technology, software engineering and machine learning within an agile SCRUM team.

Required profile

• PhD or university degree in computer science, engineering or a natural science.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Interest in working at the intersection of AI, geometry and engineering simulation.

• Machine‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Geometric machine‑learning methods (graph neural networks, mesh‑based learning, U‑Net)
• Experience with synthetic data generation and simulation‑driven learning
