Software Engineer - Infrastructure

About the role

Flexion Robotics is looking for a senior Software Engineer to join its Infrastructure team. You will build the platforms, tooling and infrastructure that power Flexion’s AI stack for humanoid robots, working across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build tooling and platforms for robot deployments, including applications, APIs and SDKs used by customers.
• Lead projects end‑to‑end from scoping and design through implementation, rollout and long‑term ownership.
• Shape technical direction and architecture through design and code reviews.
• Partner with research, robotics and deployment teams to translate needs into reliable platforms.
• Raise engineering standards in testing, documentation and system reliability.
• Define and spread AI‑assisted development practices across the company.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant professional software engineering experience with senior‑level ownership of production projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex, high‑impact systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one compiled language (C++, Go, Rust).
• Strong software architecture skills, modular and testable system design.
• Experience building and operating production backend systems: APIs, cloud infrastructure and databases.
• Familiarity with engineering tooling: Git/GitHub, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, code review.
• Hands‑on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode.
