Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

As a Software Engineer on Infrastructure you will build the cloud platform that connects our robot fleet to operator intelligence. You will own cloud setup, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, container orchestration, and secure networking to enable reliable, secure, and scalable code delivery from laptop to robot.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS or GCP foundations, networking, security, IAM, and cost controls.
• Implement secure networking including VPNs, TLS, certificate and PKI management for cloud‑to‑robot connectivity.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines for cloud services and on‑robot software.
• Manage Kubernetes (including K3s) clusters for edge and on‑prem deployments, image builds, and secrets.
• Develop OTA update mechanisms, configuration management, telemetry, and fleet management tools.
• Create observability solutions with logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
• Improve developer experience through local environments, testing infrastructure, and internal tooling.

Required profile

• 4+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience building cloud infrastructure at startup scale.
• Ability to balance simplicity with durable foundations and to own network and security layers.

Required skills

• AWS, GCP or Azure
• Kubernetes and lightweight distributions (K3s)
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Networking and security fundamentals (VPN, TLS, PKI, firewalls)
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar)
• Programming in Python, Go or comparable systems languages
• Observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
