Software Engineer – Nucleus Platform

About the role

Leonteq is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Nucleus team, the core technology platform that powers its investment marketplace. You will help design, build and operate highly‑available distributed services that support market data, pricing, messaging and shared platform capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable micro‑services running on‑premises and in Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other engineering squads to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions focused on resilience, scalability and maintainability.
• Write automated tests and enhance CI/CD pipelines for frequent, reliable releases.
• Work with DevOps, Security, Infrastructure and Release Engineering to continuously improve the platform.
• Modernise legacy services while ensuring high reliability for mission‑critical applications.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong background in building distributed, cloud‑native systems.
• Experience working in an agile (Kanban) environment.
