Software Engineer - Pirate & Architect

About the role

Coresystems AG is hiring a full-time Software Engineer in Zurich. The company wants someone who can quickly take over a project, build fast with AI assistance while keeping things clean, and then step into the role of architect to give the product structure. The work spans AI-driven workflows, data pipelines and end-to-end features.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI agentic workflows on industry-standard frameworks, with the same architectural discipline applied to any production system.
• Build and maintain data processing pipelines for ingesting, transforming and enriching customer data, keeping them reliable, observable and safe to reprocess.
• Ship features end to end, from the React screen and Python service to the AWS infrastructure running it.
• Make quality measurable with evaluation sets, tracing and budgets for latency and cost.
• Integrate with customers' systems, handling real business data from real enterprise environments.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a software engineer, ideally with ownership of architecture decisions.
• Practical, current experience with AI-assisted development.
• High speed combined with strong structural discipline.
• Strong communication skills to explain and defend architecture decisions.

Required skills

• Cloud-native architecture, ideally on AWS.
• Frontend, backend and infrastructure, able to take a feature all the way to production.
• Software engineering design patterns and systems thinking.
