Store Construction Specialist

About the role

Join Columbia Sportswear's Store Construction team at the EMEA headquarters in Geneva and lead the delivery of retail construction, opening and refit projects across Europe. You will ensure each store meets brand standards, stays on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from data collection to final handover, managing up to 35 projects per year across multiple countries.
• Collaborate with architects, adjust plans in AutoCAD and ensure compliance with Columbia guidelines.
• Request, validate and negotiate quotes, track construction costs and protect opening deadlines.
• Travel regularly to site visits, meet local stakeholders and guarantee smooth execution.
• Contribute to process improvements for better efficiency and time management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction, store opening or refit projects in a multi‑country scope.
• Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously.
• Calm decision‑maker who can act under pressure and tight timelines.
• Excellent communicator adaptable to internal teams, architects, suppliers and landlords.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.

Required skills

• AutoCAD – reading and adjusting technical plans.
• Advanced Excel for cost tracking and budget analysis.
• Experience with collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Smartsheet.
• Fluent spoken and written English (working language).
