Strategic Buyer – Electronics Components

About the role

As a Strategic Buyer for Electronics Components you will strengthen global sourcing activities, develop resilient supplier strategies and ensure reliable supply of electronic parts across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to category strategies with market analysis, supplier insights and trend identification.
• Implement electronics component strategies in your region in alignment with global teams.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to secure buy‑in for strategies.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier portfolios – selection, qualification, negotiation, contracts, compliance and performance monitoring.
• Take responsibility for supplier performance – continuity, quality, sustainability, cost reduction and delivery reliability.
• Drive supplier development and supply‑chain optimisation projects such as cost initiatives, lean activities, inventory optimisation and digitalisation.
• Escalate and manage supply and quality issues with suppliers.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in a technical, commercial or supply‑chain field.
• At least 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in an electronics or technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of supplier and contract management and supply‑chain processes.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to translate strategies into actions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills in an international setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within Europe and very good English; German is a plus.
