Supply Chain Analyst

About the role

Timken is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support production planning and material purchasing. The role ensures that manufacturing sites meet Master Production Schedule (MPS) targets while maintaining efficient supplier relationships and inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for work stations.
• Analyze production capacity and coordinate with the production team to achieve MPS and SVOP targets.
• Develop direct‑material purchasing and outsourcing plans, ensuring supply aligns with MPS demand.
• Balance supply and demand, manage work‑in‑process (WIP) and workshop inventory to meet business plan goals.
• Handle supplier issues, including returns of reject parts, scrap, and overdue orders.
• Coordinate payment requests and resolve supplier‑related finance issues with the finance department.
• Maintain accurate documentation and archive records.
• Track supplier capacity and lead‑times, communicate with the planning team, and confirm delivery dates to avoid production downtime.
• Enforce safety standards, report EHS non‑conformances, and refuse unsafe work.
• Ensure compliance with Chinese laws, regulations, and Timken EHS requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in production planning, capacity analysis, and material purchasing.
• Strong coordination skills with production, finance, and supplier teams.
• Knowledge of MPS, SVOP, WIP management, and inventory control.
• Understanding of EHS standards and ability to enforce safety procedures.
• Familiarity with Chinese regulatory requirements.
