Tax Consultant – Private Banking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisor to join our Private Banking Division. The successful candidate will act as the technical point of contact for private and commercial clients in Switzerland and beyond, collaborating closely with client advisors and the Swiss pension specialist to deliver integrated, high‑level wealth‑management advice.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients on tax matters related to investments, wealth and estate planning, and corporate issues.
• Collaborate with the Tax and Pension Advisory Team and Relationship Managers to address client needs and develop portfolios.
• Manage Swiss and foreign tax certifications, liaising with the Federal Tax Administration as required.
• Validate tax certificates for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist the Investment Strategy Team on tax treatment of financial products for Swiss‑resident clients.
• Coordinate with external law and tax firms for complex cases, estate planning, and asset protection.
• Monitor developments in Swiss and international tax regulations to keep the bank up‑to‑date.
• Handle requests and projects independently, ensuring confidentiality and high service standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law or equivalent; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Proven experience in tax roles within banks, trust companies or tax consulting firms serving private and commercial clients.
• Fluent in at least two national languages (Italian/German) and English, both written and spoken.
• Resident in Ticino or willing to relocate.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Swiss tax system, including direct taxes, inheritance, gifts and withholding tax.
• Strong understanding of international tax law principles.
