Technical Project Manager - Railway Rolling Stock

About the role

agap2, a European engineering services company founded in 2005, is looking for a Technical Project Manager for railway rolling stock. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from concept through delivery and validation, and involves coordinating cross-functional teams and acting as technical interface with clients and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee technical projects across their entire lifecycle, from concept through delivery and validation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with rail industry standards, safety regulations and customer specifications.
• Act as technical interface with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and resources to ensure efficient project execution.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, status reports and presentations for management and customers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven track record in technical project management in the rail or transportation industry.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Structured, solution-oriented and proactive working style with strong leadership qualities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of complex technical systems and integration processes.
• German and English.
