Technical Superintendent / Corporate Marine Engineer

About the role

As Technical Superintendent / Corporate Marine Engineer you will ensure the technical readiness, safety and cost‑efficiency of A‑ROSA’s fleet of premium river vessels. The role combines office work in Chur with regular visits aboard ships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee technically reliable and cost‑efficient vessel operations across the fleet.
• Plan and supervise shipyard periods, conduct vessel visits and prepare inspection reports.
• Support insurance claims, contribute to budgeting and cost planning.
• Manage external contractors, coordinate servicing work and monitor repairs to machinery and technical systems.
• Plan deployment and training of Chief Engineers and Electricians, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Marine Engineer qualification or comparable technical degree.
• Several years of experience in vessel repairs or operations, preferably with propulsion systems.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Residence in Switzerland required.

Required skills

• Propulsion system knowledge.
• Shipyard supervision and vessel machinery maintenance.
• Use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
